Diplomacy, anyone interested in a game?

Diplomacy is a strategy board game that can i be played online.  that requires alliances, and backstabbing, and all the like to win.  You need 7 players to get a game going.  Is anyone interested?  But if youre in, youre in, as games can last weeks, as on the online version, the game phases are each other a 24 hours period.

what kind of strategy game is it? is it free?

btw... this game will end friendships, it gets so itense.  I played it in my History 12 class back in high school, and a fight broke out because a team backstabbed another team so badly

I'm down for it. If we can pick specific countries, I'll probably go for a Scandinavian one, or be Polish and be a greater military leader than Boleslaw the Brave, restoring it to it's deserved glory!

that's fine, but i will say that all you really have to do is devote a few mins each day, for each phase.

Orders only have to be delivered in a 24 hour period, then the game moves to the next phase for 24 hours.
